I am a San Francisco-based artist. My work draws upon the rich variety and experiences of the natural environment in California. I have also worked and traveled extensively throughout Spain and Latin America and these moments inspire much of my subject matter and color choices.

My artwork explores form and color in the world around me. I often simplify the shape and line of everyday objects, an appreciation of the small details that surround us each day. New ideas for my work come from observing and sketching plants while hiking, botanical illustrations, and the photos I take around the city and in nature. Different colors than seen in the natural world are an exploration of the feelings that may arise when seeing a familiar object in a new light; color is also a way for me to express emotion about a particular place or experience.
